Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami has responded to allegations that he neglected the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State during his time in office, insisting that he made significant financial contributions to support party activities.
Pantami made the clarification during an interview on TVC News, where he addressed criticisms surrounding his level of involvement in the party while serving as a minister under former President Muhammadu Buhari. The discussion focused on party loyalty, grassroots engagement, and the expectations placed on political appointees.
Defending his record, Pantami stated: “Even during the recent National Convention that took place in Abuja, I personally contributed N50 million to the party in Gombe State to attend. During the validation exercise, we contributed N45 million from my team to support the party.”
He explained that these contributions were part of broader efforts to strengthen the APC’s presence in Gombe and ensure that party members were adequately supported to participate in key national activities.
