PDP: Wike’s Threat is Not Empty; He Will Shut Down any Turaki Faction Office in Abuja — Jide Ojo

Jide Ojo, a prominent public affairs analyst, has raised an alarm regarding the escalating internal crisis within the People’s Democratic Party. He noted that the friction between opposing camps is becoming increasingly volatile as the next election cycle approaches. Ojo highlighted that the aggressive posturing of key stakeholders is making the main opposition party a high risk environment for any politician seeking elective office.

According to a video posted on the Official YouTube channel of Channels Television, while analyzing the deep divisions within the party leadership, Jide Ojo stated, “you could listen to the threat of Wike a couple of days back where he said if the Turaki faction opens any office in Abuja, he is going to shut down that office.” He emphasized the seriousness of these threats.

The analyst further explained that the friction extends beyond physical offices to the financial operations of the party. He noted that the threat to ensure bank accounts are frozen is a significant escalation in the power struggle. Ojo remarked that these warnings should not be taken lightly, stating, “if they open a bank account, Wike is going to ensure that those bank accounts are frozen.”

In his assessment, Ojo pointed out that the minister has a reputation for following through on his political declarations. He cautioned that the current atmosphere makes it difficult for any factional activities to thrive in the federal capital. The analyst believes that such intense internal warfare could ultimately cripple the party’s chances of presenting a united front for the upcoming general elections.

In his concluding remarks, Ojo noted that the public knows the minister for who he is and understands that these are not empty threats. He warned that the ongoing battle between the Turaki group and the opposing camp would only lead to further instability. The analyst advised stakeholders to be wary of the legal and administrative consequences of participating in such a heavily fractured organization….See More
