Why Does He Thinks 4 Years Is No Longer Enough And That He Must Do 8 Consecutive Years -Oshiomhole

Senator Adams Oshiomhole representing Edo State has openly questioned Senate President Godswill Akpabio’s push to serve a second consecutive term unopposed, describing the move as deeply provocative.

Speaking on AIT News, Oshiomhole said, “Why does he think that four years is no longer enough and that he must do eight consecutive years? It is extremely provocative to also say that even people who have been in the Senate before who are even senior to the Senate President in terms of ranking but they were appointed as ministers, like the Senate President himself when they now come back, they are not considered as ranking senators,” he said.

Oshiomhole drove his argument home with a pointed observation about Akpabio’s own history, noting that the Senate President had no prior legislative experience whatsoever when he became minority leader.
