Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, a former Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State has disclosed what it meant to be a member of the Obidient movement, a support group to the former governor of Anambra State and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle on Thursday May 7th, 2026 he pointed out that the group was about transparency, accountability and honesty.
His comments came amid the heated arguments that trailed the recent defection of the former Anambra State governor from the African Democratic Congress, ADC to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.
The former Anambra State governor, it can be recalled, had left many stunned after he announced his decision to severe ties with the ADC, with many arguing that the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate was self-centered.
However, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, in his submission, pointed out that the former governor was a transparent and honest individual, a virtue which the Obidient movement embodies.
