In a recent interview shared by Channels Television, APC Bauchi governorship aspirant Yusuf Tuggar highlighted his longstanding involvement in Nigeria’s political evolution, emphasizing his role in the formation of the ruling party. Reflecting on his political journey, Tuggar stated, “I was one of a small group of people that escorted President Muhammadu Buhari and others to build APC.”
He explained that his participation in the early coalition efforts that led to the emergence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) demonstrates both loyalty and consistency in his political career. According to him, his experience cuts across grassroots mobilization and national political engagement, positioning him as a strong contender in the Bauchi governorship race.
Tuggar noted that his political background dates back to his involvement with legacy parties such as the ANPP and CPC, which later merged to form the APC.
