Isaac Fayose has openly criticised his elder brother, Ayo Fayose, over his alleged role in the ongoing internal crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking during an interview on News Central TV, Isaac expressed strong dissatisfaction with his brother’s recent political decisions and alliances. He suggested that despite Ayo Fayose’s years of experience and influence as a former governor, his current actions do not reflect the stature of someone who once held significant power and operated among Nigeria’s top political figures.
According to Isaac, Ayo Fayose appears to be aligning himself too closely with Nyesom Wike, allegedly for personal gain. He argued that such a relationship raises questions about loyalty and principle, especially at a time when the PDP is grappling with internal divisions.
Isaac further highlighted what he described as conflicting political interests within their wider circle. He pointed out that while Ayo Fayose’s son is reportedly pursuing a political ambition under the All Progressives Congress (APC), individuals linked to Wike are also pursuing separate political agendas. In his view, these cross-party alignments signal a weakening commitment to the PDP and its core objectives.
He went on to accuse key figures within the party of contributing to its instability, alleging that both camps have, at different times, leveraged legal and institutional mechanisms to influence internal outcomes in their favour. According to him, such actions have deepened divisions and eroded trust within the party.
In a particularly blunt remark, Isaac said:
“Someone who was a Governor for 8 years, my brother is with the set of Tinubu, Odili. My brother is ready to carry Wike’s bag as long as money is involved.”
His comments have since sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians reacting to the unusual public criticism between siblings, especially within the high-stakes context of national politics. The situation also reflects the broader tensions within the PDP, as key stakeholders continue to realign and reposition themselves ahead of future elections…..See More
