Peter Obi Is Misleading Nigerians, His People Are Already Joining APC — Sowore Claims

Activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has launched a sharp attack on Labour Party leader Peter Obi, claiming that despite presenting himself as a different kind of politician, Obi’s actions and associations tell a completely different story.

Sowore made the remarks in a video shared by TV Platinum, where he accused Obi of consistently aligning with political figures he described as harmful to Nigeria, including former SGF Babachir Lawal, former Minister Rotimi Amaechi, and former Attorney General Abubakar Malami.

Going further, Sowore suggested that if former President Muhammadu Buhari were still alive today, Obi would likely be in the same political party with him. He added that many people within Obi’s circle have already joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, hinting that Obi himself might eventually reconcile with APC leader and President Bola Tinubu in the future.

Sowore also took aim at what he described as the reward system within the APC, claiming that joining the party comes with perks including forgiveness for past wrongs and large financial benefits for politicians such as governors and senators.

He accused Obi of misleading millions of Nigerians and insisted that he personally was never fooled by any of the country’s leaders. Sowore said he has had what he described as a radar detector for fake people since he was a teenager, and that this instinct has helped him identify dishonest leaders long before others could see through them.

“As far back as 1989 when I was 18 years old, I have a radar detector for fake people. I knew Babangida was fake, I knew Obasanjo, Jonathan, and Yar’Adua were fakes,” Sowore said.

His comments are likely to generate strong reactions from Obi’s supporters, many of whom see him as a genuine alternative to the established political order….See More
