Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a popular Islamic cleric and former military captain recently made a striking comment regarding the reported death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran. According to the statements which were shared on his official Facebook handle, he pointed out that the peace talks were deceptive.
The news regarding the death of Ayatollah Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran generated mixed reactions from different quarters after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
The supreme leader, was reportedly annihilated following series of airstrikes carried out by Israeli and United States forces, a conflict which had triggered massive public reactions.
Reacting, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a renowned Islamic cleric scholar and erstwhile military captain in a recent statement which was shared on his official Facebook page, pointed out that the Iranain leader was deceived.
According to his now viral statements, he disclosed that the peace talks were merely a bait, as the actual plan was to silence him when he least expected.
The peace talks, according to Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, which he described as false, occurred not just once or twice, but has become a sophisticated tool to catch perceived enemies off guard. This, according to the former military captain, was treacherous.
The statements from Sheik Gumi however, generated mixed reactions as many argued that all avenues to make peace were long exhausted.
