Samuel Danjuma, an All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, has criticized former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode over comments he made about former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, urging political actors to exercise restraint and allow due process to take its course.
Danjuma made the remarks during an interview with Trust TV, where he reacted to what he described as inappropriate public commentary by Fani-Kayode concerning El-Rufai.
According to him, Fani-Kayode had earlier in the day made remarks he considered “unpalatable,” prompting him to respond directly and caution against inflaming political tensions.

Danjuma further warned that constant public pressure could undermine the credibility of constitutional bodies, making it appear as though investigations are politically motivated.
According to him, “Earlier today, Fani Kayode, former minister of aviation, wrote some very unpalatable things about Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. I responded, and I told him at this point, this is not what we need. Allow the agencies to do their job; when they are done with their findings, they’ll be made public. I think it’s high time we stop bringing issues of such to the court for public opinion. Allow the agencies that are empowered by the constitution to carry out those assignments effectively.
