As reported by the Defence Minister, General CG Musa (rtd), on February 6, 2026, this meeting highlighted the enduring bilateral ties between Nigeria and Sao Tome and Principe, rooted in shared strategic objectives within the Gulf of Guinea.
He pointed out that the historical connection between the two nations has thrived through collaboration in maritime security, economic partnerships, and diplomatic efforts in the region.
