Yul Edochie, a veteran Nollywood actor, has stated that he noticed something surprising when he ran for governor in Anambra State in the year 2017.
In an interview on the KaaTruths Show, Edochie said during the 2017 election period he found out that most of the major governorship candidates in Anambra were actually friends. He said they would often meet at night to gist, laugh, and spend time together.
Edochie also said there was a time in 2017 when he personally saw the governorship candidate of a major opposition party coming out of the Anambra Government House alone in his car
In Edochie’s words: “Let me shock you, in 2017 I ran for governor and I noticed something. All the big governorship candidate were friends, they would always meet at night, gist, laugh. They would keep their phones away, enjoy themselves, make jokes. There was a time in 2017 I saw one of the governorship candidate of another big party coming out from government house, driving alone. I noticed that they were all friends. And then when they finish their gisting and having fun at night, in the morning you see their supporters fighting each other but the candidates don’t fight each other.
