There Is No Other Country Where 10 Are Killed On Monday, 50 On Tuesday, & Killings Continues -Kukah

Bishop Matthew Kukah, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, has expressed concern over the rising insecurity in Nigeria, warning that the country cannot achieve progress if the killings continue unchecked. He said the level of violence in Nigeria is alarming and unlike what is seen in other African nations.

Speaking in Yola, Adamawa State, during the review of a book on Governor Ahmadu Fintiri titled “The Man They Could Not Stop”, authored by Solomon Kumangar, Bishop Kukah noted that Nigeria is becoming increasingly divided along religious lines, a situation he believes is being worsened by narratives from Western media.

Kukah said Nigerians must unite and work collectively to end the bloodshed, stressing that the frequency of killings is unprecedented and poses a serious threat to the nation’s future. He emphasized that no country can achieve meaningful development when lives are lost in such large numbers on a daily basis.
