2027 Presidency: Atiku Should Give Way And Support Peter Obi So We Can Win The Election — Iroegbu

In a recent interview on Signature TV, political commentator Dickson Iroegbu has made remarks on ongoing opposition realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria.

Iroegbu made the remarks during the interview where he discussed emerging coalition talks and internal disagreements within opposition political blocs.

In his statement, he specifically referenced former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi in relation to possible power-sharing arrangements within the opposition.

He said, “Atiku should give way and support Peter Obi so we can win the election,” suggesting that a unified ticket could improve the opposition’s chances at the polls.

According to him, failure to reach consensus on a single strong candidate could weaken the opposition’s ability to challenge the incumbent administration effectively in 2027.

Iroegbu further noted that personal ambition and internal competition among major political actors remain key obstacles to forming a stable coalition.

He also emphasized that strategic compromise and political unity are necessary if opposition parties hope to mount a credible challenge in the next general elections.
