Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has criticized several prominent Nigerian political figures, accusing them of avoiding direct responses to his allegations.

The activist also criticized governance standards in Abia State, referencing his personal observations during a visit to the state. He said, “When I talk about Otti, that I went to Abia and what I saw was mediocrity.”

Sowore further argued that public perception of governance is influenced by limited exposure to higher standards. He stated, “The problem is that a lot of people who have never seen proper standards of governance, you can’t blame them.”

Elaborating, he said, “People who have never seen roads made, not only with just the highway being made, that there will be a portion for vehicles, for bicycles and there will be a portion for people who want to walk.”
