Wike: When Damagum Was Chairman, If A Meeting Outcome Didn’t Favor Him, He’d Seal The Secretariat-Sani

In a recent interview shared by ARISE News, Umar Sani accused Nyesom Wike of using political influence to interfere in the affairs of the People’s Democratic Party during periods of internal disagreement.

Speaking on the lingering crisis within the PDP, Umar Sani alleged that Wike often took actions aimed at influencing the outcome of key party meetings whenever decisions were not likely to favor his political camp. According to him, “When Damagum was chairman, anytime we held a meeting and the outcome might not favor him, he would go and seal the national secretariat.”

Sani claimed that the repeated closure of the party secretariat created tension among party members and disrupted important activities within the opposition party. He further alleged that similar actions were taken against other PDP offices whenever disagreements emerged among party stakeholders.

The PDP chieftain maintained that despite the ongoing leadership struggle, members loyal to his faction remain focused on rebuilding the party and preparing for future elections. He also expressed confidence that the legal disputes surrounding the party’s leadership would eventually be resolved in their favor.
