Captain Tunji Shelle, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former PDP chairman in Lagos State, has expressed doubt over Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso’s political loyalty.
In an interview with DAILY INDEPENDENT on Thursday, May 7, 2026, Shelle said Kwankwaso’s political loyalty is unclear and questioned his role in the opposition. He alleged that Kwankwaso’s relationships with figures like Peter Obi may have influenced recent political movements.
Shelle also claimed Kwankwaso’s role in the ADC was unexpected and suggested some alliances may not fully serve opposition interests or could have indirect ties to the APC.
