Wike: They Were Expelled In November 2025, So There Are No More Vagabonds In The PDP -Seyi Makinde

In a recent video shared on SplashFM1055, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State addressed the internal crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), specifically commenting on the expulsion of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and other members. He reflected on the party’s challenges since losing power at the federal level in 2015, noting that gaps in leadership had allowed opportunistic elements to influence the PDP.

According to Makinde, “They were expelled in November 2025, so there are no more vagabonds in the PDP.” He emphasized that the party had endured a difficult decade, and that those now expelled, including Nyesom Wike, had undermined the PDP’s credibility during their tenure. According to Makinde, the party must now focus on rebuilding with integrity, distancing itself from those he described as having “pedaled lies for years.”

Makinde also spoke about his personal journey within government, admitting that while he had been associated with some of the expelled members from 2019 to 2023, he had since “repented” and committed to a leadership that prioritizes truth and accountability. He expressed confidence in Nigeria’s judiciary, asserting that legal processes would eventually resolve outstanding disputes and deliver justice to the people.

Highlighting his plans for lasting reforms, Makinde revealed two initiatives he intends to complete before leaving office. One involves formal recognition of party achievements in Oyo State, while the other entails submitting key party documents to the national chairman for proper archival and oversight. These steps, he said, would ensure transparency and accountability within the PDP for future generations.

Makinde concluded by reaffirming his trust in the party’s ability to recover from internal crises, emphasizing that leadership grounded in honesty and discipline would prevent the recurrence of past mismanagement and safeguard the PDP’s legacy in Nigeria’s political landscape.
