Hashim Garba, a victim of the Gallari mass arrest operation has come forward with disturbing allegations of torture and mutilation while in custody, shedding light on what may be systematic abuse of detainees.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Trust TV, Garba provided harrowing testimony of his ordeal following his arrest. He described being restrained immediately upon detention before being transported to Dalwa, where he and fellow detainees allegedly faced brutal treatment.

“We were tied up when arrested and taken to Dalwa where we were beaten,” Garba recounted. In a particularly shocking revelation, he disclosed that his ear was severed during detention, stating, “My ear was cut, along with those of five other men.”

The allegations suggest a pattern of coordinated violence, with at least six detainees reportedly subjected to the same form of mutilation. Garba’s testimony raises serious questions about the treatment of those arrested during the Gallari operation and the circumstances under which they were held.

Human rights advocates have expressed alarm at the allegations, calling for immediate independent investigations into the reported abuses. The deliberate mutilation of detainees, if confirmed, would constitute a severe violation of both domestic and international human rights law.Continue, Full, Reading>>>>
