According to a report by Tribune News on Monday, July 13, 2026, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, has presented a brand-new Toyota Camry to Mrs. Rachael Alamu, the principal of Community High School, Esiele, Oriire Local Government Area, as a gesture of support following her rescue from kidnappers.
The vehicle was presented on Monday during a brief ceremony attended by the member representing Afijio/Oyo East/Oyo West/Atiba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi.
During the presentation, Senator Alli said the gift was meant to encourage the school principal after the traumatic experience she endured in captivity.
“This is a token of our support and appreciation for your courage. We are standing with you as you recover from this painful experience,” he said.
He also expressed relief over her safe return and wished her a speedy recovery.
“We thank God for your safe rescue and pray that you regain your strength fully after all you have been through,” Senator Alli added.
Photographs of the presentation, shared by Ibadan-based Yes FM, captured the symbolic handover of the car to the school principal.
Receiving the vehicle, Mrs. Alamu expressed gratitude for the gesture and the support she had received since regaining her freedom.
“I sincerely appreciate this kind gesture. May God reward everyone who stood by us and prayed for our safe return,” she said.
