According to a report by Al Jazeera English on Monday 13 October, 2025, United States President Donald Trump’s speech was briefly interrupted by a heckler, and we now know it was Ayman Odeh, a member of the Israeli parliament, who caused the stir.

The confrontation didn’t come out of nowhere. Just before the event, Odeh took to his X account to post a scathing critique. He wrote that the “amount of hypocrisy in the plenum is unbearable,” lambasting what he saw as an orchestrated effort to crown Prime Minister Netanyahu through excessive flattery. He argued that such a display does nothing to absolve the government of its actions.

In his social media post, Odeh connected his protest directly to the ongoing conflict. He made it clear that his presence in the chamber was solely due to the current ceasefire and the broader deal on the table. But his central demand went much further. For him, and for the cause he represents, real and lasting peace will only be possible by ending the occupation. And he insisted that the only path to true justice and security for everyone involved is the formal recognition of a Palestinian state existing alongside Israel. See, More, Here>>>>
