During an interview with Arise News on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the national chairman for the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), denied the alleged sale of party forms to former governor Rabiu Kwankwaso in Kano State.
Recently, the Chairman of the People’s Redemption Party PRP Northwest Stakeholders Forum, Abdulkadir Musa Guza, alleged that ex-governor Rabiu Kwankwaso had purchased all PRP nomination forms in Kano state.
However, during the interview, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the national chairman for the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), dismissed the claim, revealing that nomination forms for the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) are only sold in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, and not in Kano State.
In his words, “There is no way former governor Kwankwaso could have bought sixty-nine forms from the PRP in Kano; we don’t sell forms in Kano, we sell forms in Abuja.”
