According to a report by Al Jazeera, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei has warned that the ongoing war involving Iran will not remain limited to the Middle East, cautioning that the international community cannot afford to ignore the unfolding crisis.
Baghaei said global powers are fully aware of the scale and implications of the conflict, which escalated following joint U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iranian targets and subsequent retaliatory attacks by Tehran across the region. He stressed that the situation carries consequences beyond Iran and its immediate neighbors, particularly as military exchanges intensify and regional security deteriorates.
“The world is not blind; everyone sees this, and if it chooses to turn a blind eye or feign ignorance, it will face consequences,” Baghaei said. He warned that the war could soon affect Europe and other parts of the world, describing the conflict as “highly contagious” and capable of spreading beyond its current borders if not addressed.
Baghaei further stated that countries assuming they can remain neutral or detached from the crisis are “deeply mistaken,” arguing that the interconnected nature of global security means no region will be immune from the fallout.
