According to a report by The Cable on Saturday, May 23, 2026, according to Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will easily win the 2027 presidential election.
According to him, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is still well-established nationwide, and he firmly believes that none of the opposition politicians, not even former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, pose any threat to the APC’s electoral prospects.
Just after casting his ballot in the APC presidential primary at his polling place in Jigawa State’s Kafin Hausa Local Government Area, the governor made the following statement.
He said the exercise showed how much the APC structure was strong at the grassroots level since it gave party members a chance to show how involved they were in party internal operations.
Many APC members turned out to vote in the primary, which Namadi said showed that people still had faith in President Tinubu and the party’s leadership.
The APC is being more and more accepted across Jigawa State and beyond, he said, and the enthusiasm of voters in his area is in line with that.
He continued by saying that the primary election was well-organised and peaceful, and that this showed that the party was committed to internal democracy and democratic principles.
He claimed that the systematic approach showed that the APC framework had developed into a fully functional political system.
The governor reiterated his previous commitment, saying that he will vote for President Tinubu with more than one million votes in the 2027 election.
According to him, the goal is within reach because of the growing number of people behind the APC in Jigawa State and the ongoing mobilisation activities at all governmental and party levels.
The outcomes and behaviour of the presidential primary election, according to Namadi, were a precursor to the general elections of 2027.
He insisted that the current political climate bodes well for the APC’s continued supremacy in the upcoming elections, with broad support anticipated for a variety of party platforms.
“The result is glaring. By the grace of God, 2027 will be a walkover for APC because the people believe in the party and in the government,” he added….See More
