Femi Fani-Kayode, popularly known as ‘FFK’, a former minister for Aviation and Aerospace Development has taken to his official X handle to voice his displeasure over the antics of those who were happy at the stumble of president Tinubu in Turkey. According to his statements, he pointed out that they forgot true patriots were meant to pray for their leaders.
It was no longer news that the stumble of president Tinubu during his recent visit to Ankara, Turkey were he met with Turkish president Erdogan generated mixed reactions after the reports and footages went viral across various social media platforms.
However, while many, including Turkish officials expressed shock that the incident made headlines across various media platforms in Nigeria, others downplayed the significance of the incident, and called for more support and prayers for leaders.
Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister for Aviation and ambassador designate in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, while calling for prayers for the president, slammed the antics of those who were happy at his unfortunate stumble.
According to his statements, he pointed out that those who smirked, mocked and laughed after the president slipped and fell on the floor in far away Turkey were the enemies within. He further pointed out that they forgot true patriots were meant to pray for their leaders.
He further pointed out that the president was the symbol of the nation, which meant it was the nation that fell when the unfortunate incident occurred, an explanation which the people failed to understand.
