Nigerian actress and filmmaker Bose Aregbesola has addressed the impact of false allegations on her personal life, revealing a troubling incident involving an anonymous call to her husband.
In an interview with BEHIND THE FAME, Aregbesola disclosed that someone once called her late husband using a hidden number, falsely claiming she was in a hotel with another man. At the time, she was actually on a movie set working on a production.
She explained that this was not an isolated incident, as she had often been linked to various men she had never even interacted with. Despite the emotional strain such rumours could cause, Aregbesola stated that she remains unfazed because she knows the truth and does not feel the need to justify herself to anyone.
Her words,
“Initially, when we started, people would count different men, whom they had never seen even toast me before, and say I had something with them. It wasn’t true, and it didn’t hurt me because I didn’t do it, and I don’t owe anyone an explanation. There was someone who called my late husband with a private number and said I was in a hotel with a man, while I was actually on a location.”
