Serious Issues In Iran As US Sophisticated Weapons, Explosive Devices Found In Iranians’ Homes

According to Al Jazeera English, Iranian intelligence authorities say they have uncovered what they describe as American-manufactured weapons and explosive materials inside several residential buildings, as relations between Tehran and Washington remain strained over Iran’s handling of anti-government demonstrations.

According to a statement published by state-affiliated media, security operatives recovered arms and explosive equipment from properties allegedly used by members of what officials called covert operational groups. The intelligence service claimed the suspects had concealed the materials at multiple locations as part of what it portrayed as a wider foreign-backed effort to destabilize the country.

The announcement comes at a time of heightened political pressure, following repeated remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump accusing Iranian authorities of using excessive force against protesters and warning Tehran against further repression.

Although U.S. officials have not issued a formal response to Iran’s latest claims, Iranian leaders have continued to frame the unrest as the result of outside interference rather than domestic dissent.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi previously asserted that security agencies possess audio evidence of voices “from abroad” allegedly directing protest activities. He maintained that external actors were attempting to exploit public demonstrations to weaken the state and build justification for international intervention.

Iranian officials have specifically pointed to the United States and Israel, accusing both countries of deploying “foreign agents” to incite violence and provoke instability. They argue that the objective of such actions is to manufacture grounds for possible military or political action against Iran.

According to government accounts, protests that initially emerged as civilian expressions of discontent were later “taken over” by organized networks operating under foreign guidance.
