Saleh Mamman, The Fmr Minister For Power Sentenced To Serve 75yrs Not In Prison – Chidi Odinkalu

Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has taken to his official X handle to react after the former minister for power, Saleh Mamman reportedly absconded from jurisdiction.

According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle on Friday May 15th, 2026 he pointed out that the action of the former minister was unfathomable.

Saleh Mamman, it can be recalled, had been convicted and sentenced to serve seventy five years in the correctional center for corrupt practices and other related offences.

“I am hearing that Saleh Mamman, the former minister of Power sentenced to serve 75 yrs in prison earlier this week is actually not in prison at all. It is suspected that he has fled from jurisdiction.” Chidi Odinkalu wrote.
