Ambassador-Designate, Reno Omokri, has extended his condolences to former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, following the death of Obi’s elder brother, Mike Okaka.
In a message shared publicly, Omokri expressed sadness over the loss and offered support to Obi and his supporters, particularly members of the Obidient movement.
“Dear Peter Obi, so sad to hear this. My heartfelt condolences, sir. My sincere prayer for you and the Obidient Movement is that such an affliction shall not visit you again,” he wrote.
Omokri also offered practical assistance to the bereaved family, especially regarding logistics that may arise from the death, which reportedly occurred in the United States.
“Please let me know if there is anything I can do to offer tangible help to the family, and if there are any issues, especially regarding the repatriation of the body back to Nigeria, if such is planned,” he added.
He described the deceased as a hardworking Nigerian and a loyal supporter of Obi’s political movement, noting that his contributions would be remembered.
“Accept my commiserations on the loss of an industrious Nigerian and a loyal friend and supporter in your movement,” he said.
