Reactions As Video Of Sowore Being Released From Kuje Prison After Spending 4 Days Surfaces Online

Several online users have reacted after a video of former AAC presidential candidate and human rights activist Omoyele Sowore being released from Kuje Prison surfaced online.

Omoyele Sowore posted the video on his official X handle, announcing his release from Kuje Prison alongside 13 comrades after a four-day detention for organizing the Free Nnamdi Kanu Now protest, which demanded the release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.

The video shows Sowore and others addressing reporters outside the prison, condemning police brutality including the use of tear gas during their arrest and criticizing the Tinubu administration for violating court orders and human rights under the guise of enforcing restricted zones.

According to Sowore on his official X handle:

“The Movement out of Kuje Prison in Abuja with 13 other comrades, after the unjust, inhuman, and unconscionable imprisonment for fighting for and staging #FreeNnamdiKanuNow! We are back and not backing down! FREEDOM OR NOTHING!”
