A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has expressed concern over recent claims attributed to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, regarding the alleged tapping of the National Security Adviser’s phone.
Fani-Kayode made the remarks in a video shared on X on Monday, February 23, 2026. The video surfaced during a visit by former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, to his residence.
In the footage, Fani-Kayode addressed the issue while reacting to the alleged claim about hacking and monitoring the phone of the National Security Adviser.
He said; “Let me tell you, if I may just say this, my greater concern in all this. Of course, there’s nothing we say and we write, you and I, that we’re not in a position, we’ve been at this game for many, many years, we’re not in a position to defend anywhere, any day, any time. We cannot be intimidated, we cannot be threatened, we cannot be stopped once we focus on a particular goal, especially when that goal is one of righteousness and for the good of our country.”
He continued by expressing what he described as his main worry regarding the situation: “But what worries me the most about this, and I’m going to bring this to the attention of the Nigerian public, maybe as from Monday, Tuesday, is that apart from being, you know, claiming to be able to hack and listen to conversations of the National Security Advisor, the head of our security operators, that’s bad enough and I’m glad that he has taken that up… Discover More News
