Dele Momodu, a former presidential candidate of the National Conscience Party (NCP), has spoken about the incident where the First Lady Oluremi Tinubu told Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to stop singing or she would switch off his microphone
According to a report by Nigerian Tribune on Saturday, December 13, 2025 Momodu said Oluremi was not genuinely angry about Adeleke’s singing. He stated that she used to enjoy his music and dancing in the past when they attended social events together in Osogbo. He said there are videos showing them dancing together, and he explained that the real reason for her anger was that Governor Adeleke refused to leave his party to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Momodu said the leaders of APC wants every governor in Nigeria to belong to the party, no matter their region. He said anyone who refuses to join the APC is quickly seen and treated as an enemy. In his exact quote: “However, I know the reason she is angry, because she used to enjoy his singing and music when they used to dance together in Osogbo and all that. I have video evidence of that. She is angry because the governor refused to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
