Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist Dele Farotimi has alleged that Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga is actively promoting the interests of the factional ADC National Chairman Nafiu Bala, in what he described as a deliberate attempt by the presidency to undermine Peter Obi’s political moves.
Speaking in an interview with News Central TV, Farotimi said, “If you remember the Labour Party, Abure and Apapa had all kinds of shenanigans flying around inside the Labour Party, but the moment Peter Obi left the Labour Party, all was well on the western front. The Labour Party is now a haven of peace. So Peter Obi went into the ADC, and all of a sudden, Bayo Onanuga is the one busy promoting the ADC’s new chairman.”
Speaking on INEC delisting the David Mark-led leadership, he argued that those behind the move would likely find legal or technical justifications for their actions, but he questioned whether equity, history, or posterity would ever validate them….See More
