A Nigerian political commentator, Udugbai, has shared a humorous reaction to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s recent remarks about his advancing age and desire to see Nigeria work before he dies.

In a video shared by SYMFONI TV, Udugbai said he couldn’t help but laugh when Obasanjo claimed he was getting close to his grave and was now more determined to fix the country. According to him, the former president had ample opportunity to transform Nigeria during his eight years in office but failed to deliver on many of his promises.

“Obasanjo said he’s getting close to his grave and wants to ensure Nigeria works. I laughed,” Udugbai remarked. He argued that Obasanjo’s renewed concern for Nigeria’s progress sounded insincere, given his past leadership record.
