Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the FCT minister and former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has taken to his official X account to share photos after Senator Sandy Onor obtained the presidential forms of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Abuja on Saturday May 2nd, 2026.
Senator Sandy Onor, a relatively unknown figure within the Nigerian political landscape had served as the lawmaker representing Cross River central senatorial district between 2019 to 2023 in the 9th national assembly.
The Cross River State politician is also a well known close ally to the former governor of Rivers State and current FCT minister, Nyesom Wike with their political relationship existing for decades.
From the photos which Nyesom Wike’s special adviser on media shared on his official X account, Senator Sandy Onor can be seen displaying the PDP presidential forms amid smiles.
However, while it remains unknown if Senator Sandy Onor will face opposition from other candidates on who eventually emerges as the PDP presidential flag-bearer, the backing of Nyesom Wike might steer the tides in his favour….See More
