According to a report by Times of Israel, on Thursday December 4, 2025, at the beginning of a cabinet meeting to approve the state budget proposal for 2026, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted Israel’s military superiority in the area, citing recent victories in several war zones.
At the beginning of discussions on the forthcoming budget plan, Netanyahu stressed that the plan’s structure “addresses all of Israel’s security needs” and highlighted military successes since the fight started on October 7, 2023.
Netanyahu made the bold claim, “Our victories on seven fronts make one thing clear: Israel is the strongest country in the Middle East,” in reference to the remarkable achievements made throughout the ongoing battle.
As the prime minister put it, Israel’s military might is directly proportional to the health of the economy, which he described as “strong and stable.”
In support of his conclusion, he mentioned various economic indications, one of which was the fact that investments are still coming into the country even though it is in the midst of a war.
Unemployment is at an all-time low, interest rates dropped, the shekel rallied, and the stock market set new milestones.
Netanyahu made the statement to highlight the strength of Israel’s economic system in the face of persistent security threats, adding that it was accomplished all during a war.
The prime minister has stated that income tax cuts are part of the planned budget for 2026. He continued by saying, “We also intend to reduce regulation and streamline our government systems.”

“The most important thing in this budget — assistance and grants for IDF career soldiers and reservists and for their families, because they deserve it,” stated Prime Minister Netanyahu.
