
Former minister for Aviation and staunch opposer of the Zionist state, Femi Fani-Kayode has taken to his official X handle to share a brief history of his background. According to his statements which drew widespread attention from the general public, he pointed out that his great grandfather Rev. Emmanuel Kayode was a fearless soldier of Christ, and preached the gospel for forty years.
Following the backlash received from different quarters by popular popular political figure and former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, he found it necessary to share a brief history about his family background.
The remarkable revelation, which had garnered widespread traction across various social media platforms and had generated mixed reactions, was shared on his official X handle on Monday Sept 22nd, 2025.
According to the former aviation minister, who is regarded as a staunch opposer of the Zionist state and a strong voice for the recognition of the sovereign state of Palestine, his lineage was linked to Christendom.
In his remarks, he pointed out that his great grandfather was a fearless soldier of Christ who preached the gospel for forty years as an Anglican priest. He further disclosed that his great grandfather played a key role in abolishing some African traditions.
His great grandfather, Rev Emmanuel Adebiyi Kayode, according to Femi Fani-Kayode, brought Christianity to his ancestral home of Ile-Ife.
