Jilli: I’ve The Privilege Of Operating Within That Area, In 2018 I Was Acting Brigade Commander-Christopher Musa

Speaking during an interview on Arise News, Christopher Musa, the Minister of Defence, has shared insights from his operational experience in parts of Borno State, particularly in relation to Jilli.

General Musa spoke about his familiarity with the terrain, drawing from his time in active service across several locations in the North-East. His remarks come amid ongoing discussions about security operations and the importance of local knowledge in addressing challenges in affected areas.

According to him, “I’ve had the privilege of operating within that area. In 2018, I was an acting brigade commander. I was at Kukawa, Gudumbali, and Monguno, where I served before I came back again in 2019. So I know the place very well.”

He explained that his experience in the region has provided him with a clear understanding of the operational environment, including the terrain and dynamics of security activities. Musa noted that such familiarity plays a significant role in planning and executing effective strategies.
