Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, has criticised former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, saying he does not believe Obi has the kind of experience needed to lead Nigeria.
Speaking in an interview on SYMFONI TV, on Monday, May 11, 2026, Bwala said Obi appears to be someone who just wants the opportunity to become president, without showing enough history of handling complex national problems.
He argued that leading Nigeria requires constant problem-solving and strong leadership experience, and suggested that Obi has not demonstrated that in his political record.
Bwala also warned that leaders without such experience could struggle in office and may not effectively manage the country’s many challenges.
