Ishaq Samaila, Media Aide to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, says he will openly support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term regardless of opposition.
Samaila stated, in a statement on his X handle on Monday, May 11, “Even if I become the only Northerner standing openly for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term, I will do it proudly, loudly, and without fear.”
He accused the opposition; he said, “The opposition can keep shouting, spreading propaganda, and sponsoring attacks online, but Nigerians can already see the difference,” he said. “Some of them ruled before and left nothing but excuses, insecurity, and hardship. Today, they suddenly want to act like saviours because 2027 is approaching. Nigerians are wiser now.”
He added the 2027 election should be about continuity and leadership, not empty promises. “2027 is not about empty promises or emotional speeches; it is about continuity, courage, and leadership. Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains the man with the political experience, structure, and vision to move Nigeria forward.”
