According to a video posted on CBN News on Thursday 6, 2026, CBN host Gordon Robertson recalled footage showing Hamas fighters parading hostages through a Gaza city street and executing them during what was supposed to be a ceasefire period.

He raised the account while discussing whether Hamas ever genuinely intended to disarm or end hostilities with Israel.

Robertson made the remark during a discussion with CBN Middle East Bureau Chief Chris Mitchell, who had just explained that Israeli security officials believe Hamas typically uses ceasefires to rebuild and rearm rather than pursue lasting peace.

In his words, Gordon Robertson said, “I remember the Hamas fighters parading people into a city street in Gaza, and this is at the release of the hostages and supposedly a ceasefire.

They just executed them right there in the street. And you look at that, and how anyone could support that is beyond belief, but we’re seeing it. We’re seeing it right here in the United States,” he said.

Mitchell responded by noting that many people inside Gaza have privately expressed anger toward Hamas for the events of October 7th and the resulting conflict, though public opposition remains extremely dangerous due to fear of retaliation from the group.
