Hamas Official In Tehran Declares: Palestinian Resistance Will Not Surrender Arms

According to a report by Iranian News Agency IRNA on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, a senior Hamas official, Khaled al-Qaddumi, has reaffirmed that Palestinian resistance groups will not lay down their weapons, insisting that Palestinians have lost faith in international institutions amid what he described as Israel’s ongoing campaign of “genocide and ethnic cleansing.”

Al-Qaddumi, who serves as Hamas’s representative in Tehran, made the remarks on Sunday while addressing the 8th International Conference on Solidarity with Palestinian Children and Adolescents, held in memory of Mohammad al-Durrah and the many children killed in Gaza. The event also coincided with the commemoration of Iran’s 12-Day Sacred Defense.

“We will not disarm,” al-Qaddumi declared, stressing that the resistance would continue until all of Palestine is liberated. “The heroic people in Gaza and across Palestine stand proudly with a great epic that broke the hegemony of this occupying regime,” he said. According to him, Palestinian resistance forces have drawn clear “red lines,” which include the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza and the reopening of all border crossings to the besieged enclave.

Reflecting on two years since the launch of Hamas’s Al-Aqsa Storm Operation, al-Qaddumi described the ongoing conflict as proof of Palestinian resilience against Israeli “brutalities.” “The resistance is present in the field with weapons in hand and will remain so until the last inch of our land is liberated,” he stated. “Hamas is alive as long as Palestinian children raise the flag of freedom and victory.”

The Hamas official also condemned what he called the bias and silence of Western governments and mainstream media over Israel’s military actions in Gaza since October 7, 2023. He argued that global public outrage, protests, and campaigns for Gaza had exposed Israel’s actions to the world and demonstrated growing recognition of the suffering endured by Palestinians for over seven decades.

Al-Qaddumi expressed gratitude to Lebanon’s Hezbollah and its leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, for their continued support, as well as to the “martyrs” who lost their lives during Israel’s wars in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. He further praised international solidarity movements such as the Global Samud Flotilla and other humanitarian convoys seeking to challenge Israel’s blockade of Gaza.

“The world has witnessed the crimes committed in Palestine, and the truth is now clear,” al-Qaddumi concluded. “The Israeli regime remains the main cause of instability in the region and beyond but the resistance will continue, no matter the cost.” See, More, Here>>>>
