According to Jerusalem Post, a newly published report from an Israeli security think tank alleges that senior Iranian military commanders have detailed a comprehensive, multi-front war strategy designed to target the United States and its allies, should full-scale conflict erupt.
According to the study by the Alma Research and Education Center, which analyzes security challenges on Israel’s northern borders, the Iranian plan integrates simultaneous missile and drone barrages with cyber warfare, naval operations, and proxy militia attacks, the strategy is described as a multi-dimensional approach to overwhelm U.S. and allied defenses across several theaters.
The report centers on public statements made by Iranian officials. Brigadier General Ahmad Haghtalab, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force’s Protection Security and Intelligence Unit, who recently stated:
“We have a multi-front war plan against the US, which includes missile barrages, cyber operations, and naval warfare. We will hit all American bases in the region, and we will strike all their assets.
Analysts note that this stated doctrine formalizes long-observed aspects of Iran’s asymmetric military posture, the strategy allegedly seeks to leverage Iran’s geographic advantages and network of allied militias such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and Houthi forces in Yemen to launch coordinated attacks, thereby stretching U.S. missile defense and response capabilities thin.
The Alma report suggests the plan is not necessarily a blueprint for an unprovoked offensive but is presented as a detailed retaliation scenario, likely intended as a deterrent. It underscores Iran’s continued investment in long-range precision missiles, drones, and cyber capabilities as central pillars of its defense strategy.
Pentagon officials have repeatedly warned of Iran’s growing missile arsenal and disruptive cyber activities. U.S. Central Command has not issued a specific response to this report but maintains that U.S. forces in the Middle East are postured to defend against any threats.
Regional security experts caution that while such public outlines serve a psychological and deterrent purpose, they reflect very real capabilities that have been demonstrated in past incidents, including strikes on Saudi oil facilities in 2019 and direct attacks on U.S. bases in Iraq.
