Security consultant Onyekachi Adekoya has stated that video evidence released by the Nigerian Army indicates terrorists were using the Jilili market in Yobe State as an arms resupply point before the Nigerian Air Force conducted its strike.
Speaking in an interview with Channels TV, Adekoya said, “If you look at the video that the NAF posted, it would suggest that the terrorists were going to the Jilili market to refresh, restock, and resupply arms, and then head to some other garrison towns to conduct further attacks,” Adekoya explained.
The security analyst acknowledged the difficult operational environment facing Nigerian forces, particularly in the Northwest where armed groups operate with relative freedom across multiple jurisdictions.
