Ex-IDF Military Intelligence Chief Suggests US Action Against Iran Could Come Within Days

According to a report by the Times of Israel on Wednesday 18 February, 2026, tensions between United States and Iran may be edging toward something far more serious, according to former Israeli intelligence chief Amos Yadlin.

Speaking in an interview with Channel 12, Yadlin – who once led IDF Military Intelligence and now runs a national security consultancy – stated that the possibility of military action is no longer theoretical.

“Last week I allowed myself to fly to the Munich Security Conference. I would think twice about flying [abroad from Israel] this weekend,” he said.

His remarks came as American and Iranian negotiators met for a second round of talks. Yet alongside the diplomacy, the military buildup has been visible. Open-source flight tracking accounts reported a surge of US aircraft heading toward the region within a single day, including advanced fighter jets and aerial refueling planes…..See More
