General Christopher Musa, the Minister of Defence, has spoken about the challenges Nigerian forces face in fighting Boko Haram terrorists
In an interview with Arise TV, General Musa said Boko Haram terrorists are driven by strong ideological beliefs. He said they believe if they die, they will go to heaven, and if they kill others, they will be rewarded. He said because of this mindset, they are willing to take extreme risks without fear. General Musa also said the terrorists are receiving support from outside Nigeria.
In General Musa’s words: “We are fighting a determined enemy who is getting support from outside Nigeria and who has nothing to lose. The worst enemy you can fight is someone who is from within, somebody who has nothing to lose.
