At Age 8 I Attended Catholic School,I Had A Friend Whose Dad Col. Pam Was Killed In 1966 Coup—Sanusi

Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano, has stated that when he was eight years old, he attended St. Anne’s Catholic School in Kaduna

In a video shared by Signature TV, Sanusi said one of his classmates there was Yusufu Pam whose father Colonel Joseph Pam was killed during the January 1966 coup.

Sanusi said when he was in the Catholic school General Yakubu Gowon was Nigeria’s Head of State, and Gowon regularly sent handwritten letters to Yusufu

Sanusi added that despite being Nigeria’s Head of State, Gowon still took time to write to Yusufu so he would continue to feel loved and cared for after losing his father.

In Sanusi’s words: “At the age of 8 I was sent to a Catholic School in Kaduna, St. Anne’s, and I was classmate with a young man called Yusufu Pam whose father Col Pam unfortunately was one of the victims of 1966 coup.
