Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has addressed the concerns raised over the annihilation of deadly ISIS commander, Abu-Bilal Al-Minuki.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle on Monday May 18th, 2026 he pointed out that another terrorist leader was reported to have been annihilated multiple times.
It can be recalled that questions had been raised after the death of the top ISIS commander was announced, with many arguing that he was reportedly killed during a military operation in 2024.
However, according to Chidi Odinkalu, the excitement among the people should be curtailed as Abubakar Shekau, a deadly bandit leader was reportedly killed more than twice, hence, Abu-Bilal Al-Minuki’s case should be treated with caution.
