Ayatollah’s Regime Has American Blood On Its Hand; They’re Slaughtering People In The Streets—Graham

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has sharply criticized reports suggesting that some Arab partners have urged Washington to avoid decisive military action against Iran, describing such claims as deeply troubling in light of ongoing unrest inside the country.

In a statement posted on his verified social media account, the South Carolina Republican rejected media narratives indicating that “so-called Arab allies” have intervened to restrain President Donald Trump from taking stronger measures against Tehran.

Graham accused Iran’s leadership of bearing responsibility for American deaths and for what he described as violent crackdowns on civilians.

“The ayatollah’s regime has American blood on its hands,” Graham said, adding that Iranian authorities are “slaughtering people in the streets.” He argued that any call to avoid action against Iran, if confirmed, would be incompatible with the gravity of the situation and with the United States’ strategic and moral interests.

Graham went further by warning that such a stance could force a fundamental reassessment of U.S. alliances in the Middle East. If it is accurate, he said, that regional partners believe “action is not necessary against Iran” despite what he characterized as widespread repression, then Washington must reconsider “the nature of the alliances now and in the future.”

The comments come amid heightened tensions surrounding Iran’s domestic situation and its broader regional posture. U.S. officials and lawmakers have long accused Tehran of supporting militant groups hostile to American interests and of conducting aggressive activities across the Middle East.
