“Iran’s missile capabilities and defense are not containable or permission-based, said Ali Shamkhani, a political advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in a post on social media platform X, the comment underscores Tehran’s firm stance that its military development is an absolute sovereign right and a non-negotiable pillar of its national security policy.
Shamkhani, who previously served as secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, argued that the nation’s defensive power is a deterrent developed out of necessity.
