According to the statements which were shared on his official Facebook handle, he pointed out that they do not understand the dangers of explosives and that was why he built schools for them.
Many were left stunned after footages of several herdsmen (Miyetti Allah cattle rearers) inspecting a remnant of an explosive device from the United States military airstrikes which were carried out against bandits and terrorists in Sokoto and Zamfara States went viral across various social media platforms.
The footage, which sparked massive reactions across various social media platforms, caught the attention of Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a renowned Islamic cleric and erstwhile military captain who in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, slammed their ignorance.
According to his statements, he pointed out that most of the cattle rearers needed deliverance from ignorance and from themselves. He further pointed out that they were unaware of the dangers associated with unexploded bombs.
Sheikh Gumi, widely known for his outspokenness, pointed out that their ignorance about such dangers motivated him to build schools for them. However, he criticized the United States government, pointing out that the funds used for building such dangerous bombs could have been used to build schools.
